CONCEPT
The ruins of seaside cottage were lying on the land before the Resorts construction.
We tried to use the same materials (bricks, stone, cement tiles) for its renovation (It is now the reception) and for the other buildings, for a better integration in Nature.
The sumptuous natural surrounding where Samanea is situated gave us the obligation to give a very special attention to environment and sustainability issues.
TRADITION AND INNOVATION
DECORATION OF THE ROOMS
The decoration of our villas was conducted by a Belgian designer. The decoration combines tradition and innovation using only regional materials in order to contribute to the development of local subcontractors.
USE OF AIR CONDITIONER WITH βINVERTERβ
It automatically compensates for variations in temperature and regulates accordingly its allure. The selected temperature is reached more quickly and therefore energy is better mastered for a total comfort and more appreciable.
WARM ATMOSPHERE
Special care has been given to the villas and garden lighting in order to create a warm and subtle atmosphere.
GO GREEN
MANGROVE CLEANING
To contribute to the preservation of the sea and the mangrove, with the team of Samanea we clean it every week for this preservation.
SOLAR PANEL
In order to limit our carbon foot print, SAMANEA installed 70 square meter of solar panel. With this innovation, the resort reduces its consumption of electricity coming from the main power by half.
OUR STAFF
In addition, the direction of SAMANEA takes part in the local economy. The majority of our staff comes from the local population in order to contribute to its development.
WATER QUALITY
WATER SUPPLY
A 70 m deep drilling provides water to our resort. It draws water directly from an underground stream down the mountain located below two layers of rock and is therefore non-exhaustible. No pump is used to supply the various buildings, the circulation of water is done by gravity system. It is deliberately that we did not want touch groundwater located 22 m below in order to preserve it.
WASTE WATER TREATMENT
Always in an ecological concern, all waste water passes through a system with five settling ponds to meet our needs. Each of these basins is divided into three compartments, so the decanted water is discharged into the ground through a system of hose-bores, in order to not contaminate the water table below as well as the sea water. We have also implemented channels to recover rainwater to water our 2.5 HA botanical garden including our mangrove forest.
